South Padre Island has so much to give! One of the many options is Osprey Cruises at Pier 19. They have a fleet of six vessels and offer so many different adventures – everything from a speedboat tour to a dolphin watch to a fireworks cruise. My family and I had the chance to experience the Fireworks Cruise and it was so much more than I expected!
We got to see a few dolphins, see the coastguard boats and watch the sunset. All before we headed over to watch the fireworks! We were so incredibly close to the fireworks that we could feel the BOOM! in our chests. It was absolutely amazing! While the show only lasted about 5 minutes, my husband and I agreed that it was one of the best fireworks displays we’ve seen in quite awhile.
If you can, make your way to the top deck and around to the front of the boat. There is a bench that faces out. Take those seats!! (With an emergency exit staircase in front of those seats, you’ll have a basically un-blocked view.) That’s where we made ourselves comfortable for the cruise and I really think we had the best possible seats. Our view was unbeatable – especially when it came time for the fireworks!
