22 Fun Things To Do In Mineral Wells, TX
1. Stay at The Crazy Water Hotel
What a treat staying at The Crazy Water Hotel. We could have stayed there the whole time and never left. The hotel offers 62 spacious guest rooms with large bathrooms, some with kitchens, all equipped with prestige decor. Our room was in the Messeriane, overlooking the shops and the coffee bar. The hotel has a restaurant, shopping, a coffee bar, a beer/wine bar, and a spacious lobby, and I hear they are getting a spa – so why leave?
The shopping was excellent, and the lattes at the Crazy Coffee & Water Bar were a treat. I even got to sample all four levels of Crazy Water. Anyone can sample the waters, just ask the barista behind the counter. My favorite is #3. I want all the electrolytes I can get.
2. Shop The Shops at The Crazy Water Hotel
Amanda and I found ourselves hovering over all the upscale merchandise at The Perfect Pair. We happened upon a sale section and found some things we had to have! That’s the shirt (above) and the boots I bought. I had to wear both that day—cute, uh? Amanda found a pair of Birkenstock shoes at half the price.
Shops at the Crazy Water Hotel:
- Sensology – a curated collection of luxury goods.
- The Perfect Pair – for shoe lovers and fashionable outfits

The healthy water in town has been a widespread phenomenon since 1881, making people feel good. Travelers came from miles away to taste the water, which is said to have helped a ‘crazy’ lady who had drank from the well. Buy a bottle, a case, or fill up your tank—any way you can—and you should take home some of that “CRAZY” water—I did! The Famous Water Pavilion is where you’ll find it all.
The waters have many minerals that we all need to be healthy. No wonder Mineral Wells is the Wellness Capital of Texas. Visit and have someone explain the whole story of the water only found in Mineral Wells – it’s worth a drive.

My friend and I meet here, halfway between her house and mine. We love their patio because we can bring our dogs. After a few glasses of wine, we head to Bandhead Texas Wine Bar across the street. They have a nice sitting area outside where our dogs can roam. Both have live music on weekends and serve great wine.
On this trip, we dined inside with Visit Mineral Wells and shared these awesome nachos (above). And no, we did not eat those jalapenos.
