I’ve got the scoop on all 12 TX Travel Information Centers locations.

Would you like to receive a free Texas map & travel guide? They can be picked up at one of the 12 TX Travel Information Centers around the borders of Texas and the information center in Austin. When traveling to any state, it’s good to know a little about the area and the state laws, especially if it’s your first time. Be prepared when driving through Texas, whether on a business or family road trip. The TX Travel Information Centers locations offer excellent information about everything in Texas. The list is below.

Travel Centers are a great place to start if you’ve never been to a state. If traveling into Texas through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, or Mexico, the travel information statewide destinations are located on the borders. See below.

Texas Travel Centers

To learn more about Texas, its roads, where to visit, and to get a free Texas State Travel Guide (a 196-page colorful guide with valuable information on each Region of Texas), visit the nearest travel center. I take my guide everywhere I travel and use it as I plan a road trip through Texas.

• Hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm, starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day; all centers are open until 6 pm.

• Some centers offer special events throughout the year. All Texas Travel Information Centers are closed on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Easter, and New Year’s.

• You’ll find a friendly staff and professional travel counselors ready to assist you.

Fun Fact: Driving from El Paso to Orange (the longest point-to-point in Texas) is 834 miles. That’s roughly 12 hours with no stops.
