Farmer’s Markets In The DFW Area That I Recommend

Bring a bag to these top Farmer’s Markets in the DFW area and stock up on your favorite veggies.

How much do you love an open-air Farmer’s Market? I recommend going to these farmer’s markets in the DFW area. If you’re like me, you’ll want to go to one at the spur of the moment. Because of this, I made a list to help you (and me) find them quickly. Some of these farmer’s markets are open year-round, and some at certain times of the year, so take note.

Saturday market in McKinney

Farmer’s Markets in the DFW Area

I love visiting farmer’s markets to support farmers and buy local produce. Still, there seemed to be none close to me until now. More and more are popping up everywhere around the Metroplex. So, here’s a list of the top local farmer’s markets in and around the DFW area. I’ve also listed times, dates, and what they sell (if known). Some are open daily, and some are only open on the weekends.

(817) 358-9510

Mon-Sat 8 am-7 pm (9 am-6 pm on Sun)

The Bedford Farmer’s Market has hanging floral baskets, vegetables and fruits, fresh jams and jellies, local honey, nuts, local salsa, hand-rolled tamales, grass-fed meats, and more.

Farmer’s Market of Grapevine

Year-round

520 S Main St, Grapevine, TX

Mon-Sun 8 am-8 pm (9 am-6 pm on Sun)

Farmers Market Grapevine is open daily and is located on Main Street, right in the heart of downtown. I love going here to look around while perusing Main Street and visiting wineries.

Grapevine Farmers And Artisans Market

First of July (after the 4th of July) through the first of September from 9 am to 2 pm.

Look for the Town Square Gazebo

The Grapevine Farmers and Artisans Market features a variety of vendors offering produce, home decor, collectibles, artisan bread, cookies, other sweets, hot sauce, homemade items, and so much more. This is one of my favorite seasonal markets. There’s free parking behind the market. Get there early.

McKinney’s Farmers Market at Chestnut Square

Year-round on Saturday

Chesnut Square

Summer hours – April – December – 8 am to noon

Winter hours – January – March 9 am to noon

McKinney’s Farmers Market is the bomb. It’s huge and goes on and on and on. You’ll probably spend the whole time right here. There’s shade and places to sit, and strollers and dogs are welcome.

Roanoke Farmers Market

Saturday only

221 N Oak St., Roanoke, TX 76262

(940) 391-3360

The Roanoke Farmers Market in historic downtown Roanoke has everything—from produce to free yoga classes and shopping bags. However, I could not find a good website for this market.

The Dallas Farmers Market is one of the best around. The eateries inside are open daily, but the market is only on weekends. I love this market on the weekends when I’m out and about visiting some of the top attractions in Dallas with my family.

The Keller Farmers Market seems always to have fun things going on.

Denton Community Market

Seasonal on Saturday

317 W Mulberry St., Denton, TX 76201

(972) 536-3145

Sat. 9 am-1 pm March through mid-December

I love the Denton Community Market. It’s friendly and laid-back, and the vendors do not sell the same things. It’s also dog-friendly.

I’ve gathered that the vendors change throughout the year, while some return each Saturday. You may want to get a business card from your favorite vendor in case they don’t come back each Saturday.

Coppell Farmers Market

Saturday, from 8 am to 12 pm

768 W. Main Street, Coppell

Coppell Farmers Market is full of artisan vendors selling homemade wares—from jellies and bath products to hot sauce, flowers, produce, and everything. This looks like a great market if you live nearby or travel through on a Saturday morning.
