February promises mild weather, romance, festivals, rodeos, and Mardi Gras!

For mild weather, outdoor fun, family-friendly festivals, Texas rodeos, and Mardi Gras, your visit in February will not be boring—pack layers and sunscreen. Here are fun things to do in Texas in February.

February in Texas brings cooler and drier weather than other months, but conditions can still vary significantly across our large state – yes, it can snow in Texas!

Texas’s southern, southeastern, and coastal regions tend to be warmer in February with mild humidity, while northern and western areas are slightly colder. If you like the chance of snow, visit the Texas Panhandle (Amarillo) – you might see some white on the ground in February.
