McKinney Square, located in the heart of downtown, offers shopping, entertainment and some of my favorite restaurants! From pizza to tea rooms to the upscale steakhouse, no one will go hungry because there’s definitely something for everyone!
After spending the weekend in McKinney, I found some of my favorite restaurants – right there in the McKinney Square!
This post was a part of a sponsored trip to McKinney, Texas. The partnership included lodging, food & beverage, and compensation for the event. The opinions reflected are honest and unbiased based upon the individual blogger experience.
SugarBacon
I can not say enough good things about SugarBacon. This restaurant offers New American eats with a Southern flair, plus cocktails, beer & wine, and comfy digs.
…But they offer more than that. The service was amazing from the moment we walked through the front door. Hearing the server describe each menu item made my mouth water. When the food was delivered, I couldn’t wait to dig in! Just look at their signature item, perfectly called SugarBacon.
That’s house-smoked pork belly, ancho BBQ sauce and bread & butter pickles, plated as a starter, though I could totally eat this for lunch! For my meal, I went with the tender pulled pork sandwich and knew I made the right choice!
Patina Green
Patina Green serves real, farm-to-table food. They have a seasonal lunch menu, farm fresh produce and some of the best tomato soup you’ll ever eat.
Patina Green sources curated home goods and artisanal gifts, and I loved shopping while waiting for lunch to be served.
The reason for Patina Green Home and Market is simple . . . we live our lives this way.
While it was a hard decision on what to order, I went with the Hickory Smoked Ham / Smoked Cheddar / Jalapeno Peach Jelly / Jalapeno Cheddar Loaf sandwich. I ate the entire thing because it was that good! There’s a reason this sandwich was voted as the top sandwich in Texas by Food Network. It was perfect in every way! (Check out their menu!)
Snug On The Square
Snug on the Square is a cozy coffeehouse serving a variety of yummy breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups and salads along with freshly made bakery goods and coffee. Their omelets are made-to-order, the soup is fresh and hot, the salads are perfect and their coffee brings the perfect way to start the day!
The best part? (BESIDE the ham, egg and cheese sandwich or the pimento cheese…) you can order breakfast and lunch all day long!
Make sure you check out the full list of restaurants in Downtown McKinney Square and plan a visit soon! Even better, visit during the city’s Second Saturday for entertainment, late-night shopping, dining, and something for everyone to enjoy.
Whether you’ve lived here for years, or you’re a first time visitor, Second Saturday is a great time to rediscover something new about Downtown McKinney.
