I’m a fourth-generation Texan and a proud member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. I’ve been a journalist since high school and then editor of my college newspaper, and I started working at the Oak Cliff Tribune while still in college. I was their reporter, then lifestyle editor from 1978-2009 when the 100+ years old paper folded. I was honored as a North Texas Journalism Legend by the Press Club of Dallas in 2013. I regularly contribute to Focus Daily News covering southwest Dallas County and Ellis County. Also, write car reviews for Daily Commercial Record.
