In fact, there are more than 10 million acres of freshwater in Texas—that’s more than twice as much as the next closest state!

Book your chart on Highland Lakes with Fishing Guide Austin to catch native Guadalupe bass, hybrid stripers, and crappie.

All fishing trips include an up-to-date boat, electronics, tackle, and poles. With over 20 years as a guide, he is the guide for the experts or novice anglers who want to have a fun experience on the water.

During the summer months, guests can book a night charter. Fishing trip prices begin at $450.

• Alvin Dedeaux Fly Fishing

What’s unique about this charter service is that they only fish on rivers—offering trips on the Lower Colorado River, Llano River, South Llano River, San Marcos River, and Upper Guadalupe River.

This is an excellent option for those wanting to learn and gain more experience in fly fishing. The best months for trout are December through April, with January and February peak season.

Toledo Bend Fishing guide prices start at around $83 a person. Check the website for current prices.

South Texas Guided Fishing Trips

• STSL Adventures

Deep-sea fishing and nearshore trips. The Gulf of Mexico offers various fish species, including red snapper, wahoo, grouper, kingfish, redfish, mahi mahi, shark, and more. And STSL Adventures is a great service to check out.

• Far West Texas Outfitters

The Devils River and Lower Pecos River are the most remote destinations for bass fishing in Texas. The rivers run through Big Bend, through the Chihuahuan Desert, and incredible canyons make this area a gorgeous and fun place to fish.

Day trips with Far West Texas Outfitters start at $450 per person and include meals, rods, lures, and a guide are included.

• Dos Plumas

Whether you want to catch bass or crappie, Dos Plumas will set up a costume fishing trip for your needs. Pick one of your favorite West Texas lakes and let them guide you to where the fish are biting.
