Rockport-Fulton is a laid-back coastal destination. It’s got that come-as-you-are feeling, and that’s just how we felt. No need to dress up unless you want to, and you can leave your make-up behind. With a combined population of 13,179, Rockport-Fulton offers a lively waterfront, a thriving arts community, and coastal fun. One thing is for sure – there are more than enough restaurants here to keep you well-fed for days. When you’re in the area for a day trip or a Texas Coast vacation, you’ll want to know where to eat in Rockport-Fulton.
Whether you’re craving fresh Gulf seafood, casual bayside bites, or a good ole hamburger, there are plenty of choices when it comes to eating out. Rockport-Fulton has many options.

Where To Eat in Rockport-Fulton, TX
From shrimp, oysters – raw or grilled, catch of the day, and steak and shrimp, Rockport-Fulton has all the Texas Coast seafood you could hope for. Plus, all the casual coastal eats and Tex-Mex you can handle. Being here for six nights, we ate out every day, sometimes twice. So, I’ve documented where we ate and what we ordered. You’re welcome!
You will not have any problem finding a place to eat in Rockport-Fulton. There is something for every member of the family. Besides the one fast-food place Brody had to have, we feasted on a great menu on our Texas Coast road trip! There are plenty of other restaurants around, so take our suggestions or find your own; either way, this coastal town rocks good food!
Latitude 28°02′
Latitude is an upscale coastal dining venue serving up chef-driven fish and sauce dinners, steak and seafood combo, and a wine list the wine connoisseur will find appetizing – all on a waterfront setting. Brody and I both ordered different shrimp dishes and shared a chocolate mousse to top it off. We went coastal casual.
Paradise Key Dockside Bar & Grill
Ordering the crab tower to share was the best decision. It was delicious and healthy, too, loaded with crab meat, avocado, mango, pico de gallo, and topped with cilantro-lime sauce. Besides the salad Brody ordered, that’s all we had for lunch. It was enough for us. If we had more time, we would come back here and order the same thing – yes, it was that good!
The restaurant is next to a busy boat ramp, and Cove Harbor Marina – something good must be going on there!

Daily Grind
This town is not short of coffee shops. If you’ve visited Daily Grind every day but want to try others, there are Bella La Brew, Quirky Birds, and Duck Blind, and possibly more.
On the second Saturday of each month, Daily Grind hosts a Maker’s Market in its courtyard. It helps businesses and gives residents and visitors a chance to shop from local artisans.
Grandma B’s Sweet Treats
Oh my, I told Brody we are coming back here! We each ordered one scoop of ice cream and a pecan-crusted waffle cone. YUM! I won’t forget to grab a napkin before heading outside to sit. We did go back a few days later, but it was closed or looked closed. The rain was coming down pretty hard, though.
We went back on our last day in town, and I ordered the same waffle cone, Brody got a regular cone, and we each ordered one of our favorite ice cream flavors – chocolate!
If you’re looking for something other than ice cream, Grandma B’s has all the candy a kid could ask for, plus a fudge section. Short lines, happy people!
PIK-NIK
PIK-NIK is a good choice for breakfast or lunch. The service is slow, but that’s because they make everything when ordered. I had the roasted turkey apple brie sandwich, and Brody ordered the adult grilled cheese, which came with ham. Lots to eat, which we could not. The full name is PIK-NIK Culinary Market + Deli – a local favorite.

Charlotte Plummer’s
Most locals know the restaurant as simply Charlotte Plummers, but the correct name is Charlotte Plummer’s Seafare Restaurant. It’s a restaurant on the bay side of town with a view of water and sailboats. My son had the crab cake, and I splurged with the salmon plate. Nancy, my childhood friend who lives in Corpus Christi, met us for lunch and opted for shrimp—no complaints at all here.
Enjoy waterfront dining here. Reservations may be required if on the weekend and your party is large.
If you are looking for a place to stay, the Inn at Fulton Harbor is within walking distance of the restaurant.
Los Comales
When the chips and dip(s) are really good, you know the rest will be too. Started with seafood nachos, and Brody then ordered Seafood Enchiladas. The waitress said it was much the same as the nachos we had. Both were delicious and left with leftovers.
Los Comales is our recommendation to eat there twice! Brody couldn’t stop talking about this place and his dinner. Definitely kid-approved!
Our Family Kitchen
Breakfast was amazing. After going by JJ’s Cafe and Bakery Cafe (both closed on Tuesday, we ended up at Our Family Kitchen. It was a full house, but no wait time. The coffee was great, as was the mug – almost bought it.
I ordered the build-your-own omelet, and Brody got the chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, and sausage. I sometimes forget I’m raising a grown kid. Definitely recommend this place, although JJ’s Cafe looked like one we would have enjoyed, with its funky mural and decor on the outside.
Old Fulton Steakhouse Cafe
When your son wants a steak, you look up the best steakhouse in Rockport. Old Fulton Steakhouse was the first on the list, and we chose it—great service, good food, and nice martinis.
This was our most expensive meal. I ordered the Shrimp Plate special, and Brody had Top Sirloin, plus I had a couple of martinis, and we took home a bread pudding for later—very good meal.
BeachWarmers – HuDat
BeachWarmers is a family-owned restaurant in Fulton. Here you can have all kinds of American food, like hamburgers, or Vietnamese food. I saw people ordering both. With a packed restaurant, we sat at a table in the bar area. The place inside was very cool with words all over the walls. I, more than Brody, enjoyed reading the words while waiting for our food.
We both ordered the Old-Fashioned Hamburger and must have used a thousand napkins because it was dripping with deliciousness! Again, it’s slow here, but, like they say on the walls, “This Is Not Fast Food”; everything is made when ordered.
Well, you have a lot of options to eat in Rockport-Fulton right here. I honestly think no matter where you eat on the bay, it will be good.

Great article! We have been going 1-2 times a year for years and several of these restaurants we have seen but never visited. We will now.
We stay at The Lighthouse Inn and have enjoyed it. It has new owners, and I’m hopeful that the service and hospitality will remain the same.
We love Panjo’s Pizza: thin-crust pizza and the house salad. Their dressing is yummy. Plus, it’s very reasonable.
