Restaurants Near the Texas Motor Speedway

No need to pack a lunch. These restaurants near the Texas Motor Speedway will satisfy everyone.

From the Fall NASCAR Race Weekend and NTT IndyCar Weekend to track tours and driving experiences, there is always something new to experience at the speedway. Here is an excellent list of restaurants near the Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) to consider when you’re hungry!

Location: You know what is said about “location, location, location,” TMS can’t be any better located than across the street from Buc-ees off I-35 and Hwy 114. It can also get quite busy during race weekends.

10 Restaurants Near the Texas Motor Speedway

Travelers who head to the Texas Motor Speedway in North Fort Worth can look out their car windows to see local, regional, and national restaurants. Though the Speedway Club offers an excellent restaurant, it’s not affordable for the average racegoer. There are also eateries inside during races, but if you’re looking for a nice restaurant where you can sit around a table to enjoy your meal and make new friends, you’ll want to go elsewhere.

Restaurants near Bucee’s Fort Worth are in the same realm as the speedway.

1. Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse is an American steakhouse chain that specializes in steaks, serving Texan and Southwestern cuisine. Some say the best steaks in Texas can be found at Texas Roadhouse. Customer service is also top-notch at the one close to TMS.

Texas Roadhouse Named America’s Most Beloved Sit-Down Restaurant Chain in 2023 by Eat This, Not This.

Location: 18355 I-35W, Northlake, TX. Open from 4 pm to 10 pm.

2. Rosa’s Cafe

Who loves Taco Tuesdays? If you’re new to Texas, you may not be familiar with Rosa’s Taco Tuesday. If you love tacos, wait for Tuesday when they offer their taco special. Rosa’s Cafe serves breakfast tacos and burritos from 8 am to 12 noon daily except Sundays.

Location: 18451 I-35W, Northlake, TX. Next door to the Texas Roadhouse. Opens at 6:30 am – 10 pm.

3. Babe’s Chicken Dinner House

Babe’s is an iconic North Texas restaurant with something for everyone in the family. This restaurant serves classic fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and fried chicken tenders as main dishes and delectable vegetables from green salad to corn—a local’s favorite.

Travel Tip: On E. Byron Nelson Blvd., off Hwy 114, in Roanoke, TX, and on Oak Street, there are quite a few places to eat near the Texas Motor Speedway.

Location: 104 Oak Street in Roanoke, TX, opens 11-2 for lunch and 4:30-9 pm for dinner.

4. Newk’s Eatery – Champion’s Center

Newk’s Eatery is part of a regional restaurant chain that provides fresh, healthy deli dishes for affordable prices. Sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas, and mac and cheese are made-to-order from counter orders or the mobile app.

Special Newk’s chips, fruit, homemade coleslaw, and pasta salad are available as sides. Desserts are also on the menu – strawberry, caramel, and chocolate cake. Our head writer’s favorite place for lunch!

Location: 3556 Highway 114, Fort Worth, TX, open 11 am – 9 pm.

5. Hard Eight

When you think of Hard Eight, think about a unique BBQ restaurant with a hard eight that serves everything from brisket, pork ribs, and sausage to steaks, chicken, and turkey. Chicken and shrimp poppers, pork chops, ham, steak, and turkey.

Vegetarians will also be delighted to taste the sides – potato salad, jalapeño sweet corn, sweet potatoes, coleslaw, and fried okra. You can complete lunch and dinner with a banana pudding, cheesecake, chocolate pecan pie, or a Texas Whiskey Buttermilk pie.

*Another local’s favorite.

Location: 205 S. Oak Street, Roanoke, TX. Open 10:30 am – 9 pm.

6. Burgers & Curries

Burgers and Curries is perfect for individuals who want to try something new on their way to the Texas Motor Speedway. From classics like cheeseburgers and veggie burgers to new dishes like spinach chicken and paneer tikka masala. End your dining experience with delicious desserts, such as gulab jamun (an Indian-style donut), ras malai (soft cheese balls with dried fruits), and mango lassi.

Location: 5000 TX-114, Northlake, TX, open 11 am – 9 pm.

7. HG SPLY Co.

The restaurant is ideal for post-race gatherings with colleagues and family. This eclectic, laid-back establishment offers a wealth of seating options, ranging from classic outdoor chairs to plush couches in its patio area. Complete with foosball tables and cornhole, the area awaits guests as they wait for their meals.

HG SPLY Co. is one of the only restaurants by Texas Motor Speedway to offer breakfast or brunch for visitors headed to the race and special events. Enjoy starters like charred chicken thighs and shrimp ceviche, and main dishes like redfish tacos and quinoa burgers.

The menu even features “hunted and gathered” bowls, where you choose an item that is tracked (meat) with an item that is gathered, such as yellow curry or cauliflower fried rice. The breakfast menu is robust, so come hungry.

Location: SH, 2980, TX-114 Frontage Rd, Trophy Club, TX, open 11 am – 11 pm.

8. Bayou Jacks

You can experience Louisiana without ever leaving Texas by visiting Bayou Jacks. Drool-worthy appetizers, such as Natchitoches meat pie and shrimp queso, and steamed dishes like Alaskan snow crab and peel-and-eat shrimp, will delight your table. Po-boys, burgers, and sandwiches are available as dishes or grab-and-go meals.

Bayou Jacks also offers traditional entrees, such as crawfish etouffee and jambalaya, as well as newer dishes like coconut-crusted mahi mahi and almond-crusted rainbow trout. The side dishes—collard greens, sautéed asparagus, mashed potatoes, and dirty rice—make the meal. You can complete your meal with their dessert menu, which includes bread pudding, key lime pie, mudslide, and skillet peach cobbler.

Location: 200 North Oak Street, Roanoke, TX, open 11 am – 10 pm.

9. Olive Garden

Perhaps you will want to do some shopping while in the area. Tanger Outlet and Olive Garden share the same location. Who doesn’t love Olive Garden’s salad and breadsticks? One of the business restaurant chains in this area, but the food is good, and the customer service is even better! Try a wine with your dinner!

Location: 15885 N Fwy, Fort Worth, TX, opens at 11 am.

10. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We are all familiar with Cracker Barrel and its down-home, country-style food. You know, the restaurant with the rocking chairs out front and the cute gift store inside? It’s brand to the area, and locals are loving it. It’s down the road on the I-35 access road just past Bucee’s and the Olive Garden. I see long lines in my future!

Cracker Barrel Fort Worth Alliance

Location: 15805 North Freeway, Fort Worth, TX

And there’s a slew of fast food chains across the highway. No one will go hungry while visiting the Texas Motor Speedway.

FYI – Mom’s Cafe in Justin is gone. The place is no longer a restaurant.
