NTX Jellystone Park

Bring the family and get a hug from Yogi Bear at North Texas (NTX) Jellystone Park.

NTX Jellystone Park and other Jellystone Parks were created to bring the whole family together for memories to cherish for a lifetime. The all-inclusive family parks are ready to serve you and your family this summer and throughout the year! Here is the scoop on North Texas Jellystone Park and the five other parks in Texas.

We had an old-fashioned family camping weekend at North Texas Jellystone Park in Burleson, TX, located 15 minutes south of Fort Worth and about 40 minutes west of Dallas. It was named the 2017 Campground of the Year for management, operations, appearance, and performance excellence. I can attest to that – the entire team here was spot on! If you’re looking for an ideal location to create lasting family memories and awesome family camping, put Jellystone Park in Burleson, TX, on your list to visit!

Brody and I were invited to spend a fun weekend at North Texas Jellystone Park by GoRving and the park, including lodging, meals, and all the fun we could get in!

How can you not resist Yogi Bear parks in Texas? He’s such an icon that every kid and adult loves.

Even though my son had a splint on his left hand, he managed to have the time of his life. And who can resist getting their picture taken with Yogi Bear?

This Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Campground at North Texas Jellystone Park was the highlight of Brody’s spring. I’m not sure how summer is going to top this!

Cabins And RV Rentals At North Texas Jellystone Park

Our cabin (behind us in the above photo) has a full kitchen and one bath and will sleep 6-8 comfortably. Brody had the loft all to himself, and I took the bedroom. I also like plenty of outdoor space for the kids (and adults) to play, with a picnic table for each cabin. This area would be the perfect place for a family reunion, plus you would be right next to Pirates Cove.

Cornhole was right there, so we took advantage. He beats me every time!

Travel Pro Tip: A variety of pet-friendly RV sites are available.

Extra Cost Activities At Jellystone Park North Texas

  • Laser tag
  • Paintball
  • Archery tag
  • Golf cart rentals
  • Icecream!
  • Tie-dye Jellystone Park T-shirts
  • There are extra activities that may change throughout the week. Check at the Activity Shack in the park to see what’s available.

The boys played laser tag against each other, and we all got to make our own tie-dye shirts. I have to say, that’s one craft I’ve not done…and it was fun – even for me!

After making reservations, download the Jellystone Park app to keep up with all activities at the park. Best thing ever!!

Teepees, Glamping Tents At North Texas Jellystone Park

Teepees, glamping tents, silos, and Conestoga wagons will soon come to the North Texas Jellystone Park. It will be magical out there with all these different ways to camp. Check back later this summer. I recommend trying these out in the fall season.

Which Jellystone Park Is The Best In Texas?

There are five other Jellystone Parks in Texas, all individually owned. Some may have a lazy river, water slides, splash pads, mini-golf, or even a water park next to it. But one thing all Jellystone Parks in Texas have in common – is it’s the perfect place for family fun the whole time you are there, and I’ll almost guarantee you’ll find an active atmosphere at all of them. Plus, you’ll for sure get a hug from Yogi Bear!

Jellystone Parks is the ideal location to have a family reunion. Bring your RV or stay in a comfortable cottage. Which park is the best? You be the judge – I’ve only been to two. But I’d definitely vote for the one with the most activities for kids.

A full calendar of themed weeks is available at every Jellystone Park in Texas.

1. Jellystone Park Guadalupe – Kerrville

Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort Guadalupe River is the perfect place for families to have the vacation of a lifetime where you can kick back and walk along the banks of the Guadalupe River.

2. Whispering Pines Jellystone Park – Tyler

I remember dropping off my Brody here so he could spend time with his other family. My mom and I saw all the things he and his cousins would get to do, and I remember wishing we could stay here, too! Jellystone Park Tyler is a great place to spend time in East Texas with family.

3. Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park – Fredericksburg

Whether you’re looking for family fun in the Hill Country or a place to stay while visiting the wineries, there are accommodations and amenities to fit anyone’s needs.

4. Waller Jellystone Park – Houston

For memorable camping vacation experiences, head to Jellystone Park Houston in Waller, TX, 35 miles northwest of Houston.

5. Canyon Lake Hill Country Jellystone Park – San Antonio

Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™, Camp-Resort Hill Country is the perfect place for families to have the vacation of a lifetime.

Don’t forget, while you’re checking out all six locations, remember they are not all the same as the North Texas one. For road trip ideas in Texas, seek one of the parks.

Remember, it’s not just a campground. It’s a Jellystone Park! While you’re at it, check out the benefits of the free Club Yogi Rewards to earn free nights plus more at all Texas Jellystone Park locations!
