Austin’s Top 10 Spa Retreats

Some of the best spas in Austin are on this list, including luxury hotels and resorts. These types of pampering getaways are among women’s top trends. Some of us will travel anywhere to find the finest. After all, who doesn’t love to be pampered?

Whether you’re looking to soothe your stressed muscles or indulge in some pampering, Austin’s many spas offer options for all types of visitors. Let’s look.

1. Four Seasons Hotel Austin

San Jacinto Blvd., Downtown Austin

The Four Seasons Hotel Austin ( The Spa) is a luxury hotel with one of the best spas in town. It has a variety of spa services, treatment rooms, and relaxation lounges. Some examples include massage therapy, facials, body treatments (such as hot stone massages), and a wellness center. There are also fitness classes available such as yoga or pilates if you want to stay active during your visit to this luxury hotel.  I believe you’ll love this lake-side hotel and spa right in the midst of downtown.

2. Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa

Barton Club Drive, in the rolling hills of Austin

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is a 4-star luxury hotel in the heart of Austin, Texas. The hotel has a full-service spa, fitness center, and pool and is a great place to relax and rejuvenate. While you’re enjoying your spa time, your better half can enjoy a round of golf.

3. Lakeway Resort & Spa

Lake Travis

The Lakeway Resort & Spa is a luxury resort located on the shores of Lake Travis, about 30 miles outside of downtown Austin. This spa destination would be great for guests looking to get away from it all and enjoy the outdoors and the lake surroundings. You don’t have to go into town to dine as the resort has its luxury restaurant serving Southern comfort food and drink for its guests.

The Spa at Lakeway Resort offers several treatment packages, including massages, facials, body treatments, and couple massages. There is also a nail salon, spa boutique, and fitness center. The spa is open to day guests, but staying overnight is best to get the full benefit here.

4. Miraval Austin Resort & Spa

Texas Hill Country – Austin

Miraval Austin Resort & Spa is a top luxury spa and resort in the Texas Hill Country. With an expansive list of services, including massages, body wraps, facials, and more, Miraval offers planners to help you plan your time here. The property has a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, an indoor pool (with cabanas), and an outdoor infinity pool with private cabanas available for rent.

In addition to its extensive spa menu of treatments offered daily at Miraval’s award-winning Miraval Life in Balance Spa (which has been named one of America’s Top 20 Spas by Conde Nast Traveler), guests can enjoy yoga classes taught by certified instructors, meditation sessions led by spiritual leaders and a whole active outdoor experience. You can be as active as you want to be here.

5. Lake Austin Spa Resort

30 minutes from Downtown

Lake Austin Spa Resort combines yoga classes on the deck, one-of-a-kind spa treatments, outdoor activities, and healthy food in a relaxed atmosphere. So relaxed, you’re allowed to wear your rob to dinner. Someone I met recently told me that’s what they did. You’ll enjoy private suites, swimming pools, and the Spa’s elegant Aster Café. If you want to be active, paddleboarding on Lake Austin or ride bikes around the property.

Whether you are there for a day or as an overnight guest, your time at Lake Austin Spa Resort will be relaxed and revived. And downtown Austin is about 30 minutes away if going out on the town is preferred.

6. Hotel Spa Viata

Treat yourself to a relaxing, rejuvenating experience at Hotel Viata Austin. Whether you’re looking for something to unwind and rejuvenate your body or want to treat yourself to a special occasion, there is a treatment for you. This spa specializes in Italian skincare collections and age-correcting full-body wraps, Himalayan salt stone massages, and brightening facials.

7. Fairmont Spa Austin

Red River St., Downtown Austin

The Fairmont Spa Austin is a world-class retreat in the heart of Texas’s capital city. The Fairmont Spa Austin is where you’ll find yourself wrapped by scenic views of the downtown landscape while enjoying signature treatments, which use naturally sourced, high-quality organic ingredients to create unique spa experiences.

They are committed to bringing a world-class, luxury spa experience to your life—whether for yourself or a group. Escape from life’s grind in a relaxing and serene place here.

8. Verbena Spa At Austin Proper Hotel

2nd St., Downtown

Austin Proper Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Austin, with easy access to all major streets. The hotel is known for its luxurious rooms and suites, which feature plush bedding, marble baths with Jacuzzi tubs and steam showers, flat-screen TVs with premium cable channels, and concierge services available 24 hours a day.

The Verbena Spa at Austin Proper offers massages and a fitness center where guests can unwind after their treatments with yoga classes or meditation sessions led by a certified instructor. The hotel has a rooftop outdoor pool area where you can relax while enjoying views of downtown Austin’s skyline from atop the fourth-floor terrace. 9. Hotel ZaZa Austin

At ZaSpa Austin, you can choose from a combination of skin care treatments, massages, or body treatments. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a girls’ weekend, or want to unwind after a long day of traveling, their packages are designed specifically for each occasion. Each package includes everything you need for an unforgettable experience at the spa.

10. Texas Hill Country Spas

If you’re looking to get away from the city and want to experience a true Texas Hill Country getaway (spa included), book your time at one of these spas.

Carter Creek Winery & Spa

Johnson City

Camp Lucy

Dripping Springs

I’ve had the pleasure of staying here twice, but the spa was not completed. By the time you’re ready to book your spa escape, maybe the spa will be finished and ready to book. If not, keep this resort in mind.

The Spa At Inn On Barons Creek

Fredericksburg

A full-service day spa just a block from Main Street in partnership with The Inn on Barons Creek Hotel.

Canyon Ranch

Coming soon near Austin, and will offer a total spa package.

These are just a few of the many spa experiences that Austin has to offer. The city is known for its natural beauty, so why not indulge in some pampering while you’re here?
