Plan a holiday trip with your pack to Great Wolf Lodge in Houston.
Great Wolf Lodge is North America’s largest indoor waterpark, and when Great Wolf Lodge Houston ( in Webster, TX) opened, it grew another pair of wolf ears. This indoor waterpark is a one-stop destination for families, offering guests a fun-filled, year-round escape. Webster is located between Houston and Galveston, right off the same highway to take you to the beach!
The park is geared toward families and boasts quality family time, creating everlasting memories. My son and I were among the first thousand guests to enjoy the indoor park. As I sipped my coffee, I enjoyed watching him have fun.
Disclosure: My son and I were hosted at Great Wolf Lodge and were provided a Wolf Pass and a few meals.
IT WAS HALLOWEEN AT THE GREAT WOLF LODGE HOUSTON
The Howl-O-Ween celebration included a fall landscape, complete with festive activities for the whole family, such as the Trick-Or-Treat Trail, Monster Bash Dance Party, Howl-O-Ween crafts, trivia, and more.
Great Wolf Lodge Houston – Halloween Theme
The park is centrally located to local restaurants, and I saw many families going out for dinner and ordering pizza from a nearby pizza joint. There is a restaurant inside the hotel and Dunkin Donuts, but they both get crowded and are overpriced.
We were there in October and we loved how the inside of the hotel was decorated for Halloween—nothing scary, just lots of orange and black and a big, black giant spider with orange legs hanging from the ceiling. Kids were dressed in Halloween costumes, and parents were busy reading about all the fun things they could do there.
The hotel celebrated with an orange Halloween backdrop perfect for photo ops and many balloons, and each day at 5 pm, employees dressed in costumes handed out candy to everyone who carried a Halloween sack.
Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark
It was a packed weekend when we were there, and the waterpark was overflowing with little people. Brody spent very little time here. I’m guessing he couldn’t wait to return to his wand and all the fun with his Wolf Pass.
Great Wolf Lodge Magic Wand
What a deal! My son spent his first day trying to find all the magic stars. He even met a friend who had completed the task the day before and helped him find the rest. This is by far the best way to keep kids entertained.
Great Wolf Lodge Wolf Pass
My 14-year-old enjoyed all the games and activities and the waterpark. He enjoyed all the indoor games more than playing in the waterpark. His favorite part was the wand, finding all the stars, and getting a certificate. Yes, he’s still a kid, and I love it.
He even stuffed an animal at the Build-A-Bear inside the hotel store. Yes, he still likes to do that.
Great Wolf Lodge – Build-A-Bear
You’re in luck if your kids like to stuff a bear or animal at Build-A-Bear. They have a nice set-up in the back of the store full of stuffies to stuff and make a wish. I’m almost sure this is the last year my 14-year-old will want to participate in stuffing his own animal. We’ve been doing it yearly at the Gaylord Texan during ICE! I think he has plenty. I told him I’d keep this one in my room—it’s so cute!
