Are you looking for an unforgettable place to have your whole family together for a weekend or the day? Perhaps near a field of wildflowers or coupled with a good road trip in Texas? Whether it’s location, scenery, activities, accommodation, or meeting space, we’ve covered it. After researching, we found the best family reunion venues in Texas that offer small and large spaces, family activities, and overnight accommodations that even Aunt Mary will love!
Family Reunion Venues In Texas
As a child, I remember having family reunions at parks, our house, and, yes, even at my Aunt Mary’s house in Fort Worth. Ours were always small – on both sides. Speaking of Aunt Mary, I wonder if you had an aunt like ours. She was a large woman with hair-spayed hair and wore glasses and an apron even when she wasn’t cooking. Instead of frying the chicken for our gatherings, she’d order it from Kentucky Fried Chicken. We loved that fried chicken and it wasn’t until I was much older that I learned she bought it. The funny thing about my aunt is that she would let out a toot whenever she got up from her seat. All the kids would laugh, and she never said a thing!
We never rented places for our family reunions unless you count the time we met at the Washington-on-the-Brazos park. But as I travel around, I have met many families who do. They go all out for their family gatherings. I once met a family who wore matching colored t-shirts with their last names on them.
