1. San Antonio Zoo

There are more than 750 different species of animals at the zoo. San Antonio Zoo

Admission price is $44.99 for a single day; here on Viator, it’s $32.99 – San Antonio Zoo General Admission tickets.

Tips for visiting the zoo:

  • Go during the week for fewer crowds
  • Animals are more active early in the day
  • Kiddie Park is best for children 1-12.

2. Sea Life Aquarium San Antonio

This aquarium in San Antonio is in full swing, featuring sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and many more underwater animals. Get admission tickets for SEA LIFE San Antonio for $20.58 per person on Viator. Sea Life is suitable for all ages. If you have young ones who are into LEGOS, tickets can be upgraded to include LEGOLAND Admission.

3. Hemisfair Park

Don’t miss the 750-foot-tall Tower of Americas in Hemisfair Park. It’s one of three parks in Hemisfer that surely will keep a family busy all day. The other two parks are Yanaguana Garden and Civic Park. There are food options at the gardens, and games all around. Stroll the Promenade connecting the two and enjoy the springs. You could spend the whole day just in this area.

4. Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Oh, what a thrill! Six Flags Fiesta Texas is just that. It’s known as the “Thrill Capital of South Texas.” This amusement park has all those rides you want to ride, but are too scared to! Entertainment, good ole Tex-Mex, outdoor sunshine, exhilarating rides – what more can you ask for? It’s a great attraction for the entire family.

Tips for visiting Six Flags Fiesta:

  • We couldn’t find any coupons on Viator, but I’m sure there are out there.
  • Go early!
  • Sunscreen and good shoes
  • Each person should bring their own water bottle.

5. SeaWorld San Antonio

SeaWorld is not just animals jumping in and out of the water – it’s a family adventure with coaster ridge and water park fun for the whole family. The new Catapult Falls, if you dare ride it, drops off over the falls and into rapids. Probably not a ride for the younger kids. But they are sure to love seeing the killer whales and dolphins, sea lions, and the weird-looking beluga whales.

Tips for visiting SeaWorld San Antonio:

  • Download the app for updated park information
  • Bring water shoes if planning to visit Aquatica

6. IMAX – The Alamo

The six-story Alamo IMAX Theatre in San Antonio is located at the AMC Rivercenter 11 on 849 E. Commerce Street. Go inside to cool off on hot summer days and enjoy a documentary about the Alamo.

7. Legoland Discovery Center

Kids of all ages love to play with Legos. Something that never gets old and can grow with age. Legoland Discovery Center in San Antonio is roughly $22 per person, even for adults who are just going to sit and watch. I know, that’s frustrating, but LEGOS can keep kids busy for hours and give you time to sit and rest! That’s how I looked at it back then.

8. Natural Bridge Caverns

It seems like everyone has visited Natural Bridge Caverns at some point, as it’s been there for quite some time. But if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. As the largest commercial cave in Texas, it welcomes millions of visitors each year — and it keeps evolving. Since my last trip, they’ve added a zip‑line course and a fun fossil‑mining experience that’s great for all ages.

Be sure to visit Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch adjacent to the caverns.

Viator offers a discount coupon for the Natural Bridge Caverns Discovery Cavern Tour at $35 per person. These types of discounts are likely to sell out, so don’t wait until the last day to get yours.

9. Go Rio! Boat Ride on the River Walk

It’s not a trip to San Antonio without walking around the River Walk. While there, take a ride on one of the colorful barges that goes through downtown. Kids will enjoy the ride, and hopefully the captain will make them laugh as they take them on a journey around San Antonio.

Couple a San Antonio Premium City Tour with an Alamo & River Walk Cruise for $159 per person on Viator. Kids are cheaper than that. Take a look.

10. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not

Ripley’s Believe It or Not is actually a cool place to go. The statues look so real – it’s kind of creepy at the same time.

If you’re taking the family to San Antonio anytime soon, these attractions should be high on your to-do list!
