We all know that the Alamo is a popular attraction when visiting San Antonio. So you know, if you didn’t, the Alamo is undergoing major renovations inside and out. This includes a new visitors center. Not that it’s closed, but just be aware that construction will be present.

1. San Antonio Zoo

2. Sea Life Aquarium San Antonio
This aquarium in San Antonio is in full swing, featuring sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and many more underwater animals. Get admission tickets for SEA LIFE San Antonio for $20.58 per person on Viator. Sea Life is suitable for all ages. If you have young ones who are into LEGOS, tickets can be upgraded to include LEGOLAND Admission.
3. Hemisfair Park
Don’t miss the 750-foot-tall Tower of Americas in Hemisfair Park. It’s one of three parks in Hemisfer that surely will keep a family busy all day. The other two parks are Yanaguana Garden and Civic Park. There are food options at the gardens, and games all around. Stroll the Promenade connecting the two and enjoy the springs. You could spend the whole day just in this area.

4. Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Oh, what a thrill! Six Flags Fiesta Texas is just that. It’s known as the “Thrill Capital of South Texas.” This amusement park has all those rides you want to ride, but are too scared to! Entertainment, good ole Tex-Mex, outdoor sunshine, exhilarating rides – what more can you ask for? It’s a great attraction for the entire family.
Tips for visiting Six Flags Fiesta:
- We couldn’t find any coupons on Viator, but I’m sure there are out there.
- Go early!
- Sunscreen and good shoes
- Each person should bring their own water bottle.
5. SeaWorld San Antonio
SeaWorld is not just animals jumping in and out of the water – it’s a family adventure with coaster ridge and water park fun for the whole family. The new Catapult Falls, if you dare ride it, drops off over the falls and into rapids. Probably not a ride for the younger kids. But they are sure to love seeing the killer whales and dolphins, sea lions, and the weird-looking beluga whales.

6. IMAX – The Alamo
The six-story Alamo IMAX Theatre in San Antonio is located at the AMC Rivercenter 11 on 849 E. Commerce Street. Go inside to cool off on hot summer days and enjoy a documentary about the Alamo.
7. Legoland Discovery Center
Kids of all ages love to play with Legos. Something that never gets old and can grow with age. Legoland Discovery Center in San Antonio is roughly $22 per person, even for adults who are just going to sit and watch. I know, that’s frustrating, but LEGOS can keep kids busy for hours and give you time to sit and rest! That’s how I looked at it back then.

8. Natural Bridge Caverns
It seems like everyone has visited Natural Bridge Caverns at some point, as it’s been there for quite some time. But if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. As the largest commercial cave in Texas, it welcomes millions of visitors each year — and it keeps evolving. Since my last trip, they’ve added a zip‑line course and a fun fossil‑mining experience that’s great for all ages.
Be sure to visit Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch adjacent to the caverns.

9. Go Rio! Boat Ride on the River Walk
It’s not a trip to San Antonio without walking around the River Walk. While there, take a ride on one of the colorful barges that goes through downtown. Kids will enjoy the ride, and hopefully the captain will make them laugh as they take them on a journey around San Antonio.

10. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not
Ripley’s Believe It or Not is actually a cool place to go. The statues look so real – it’s kind of creepy at the same time.
